Until it is literally freezing, I will keep to short sleeves. Coat gets added at 0°F. Balaclava or scarf and hat (which option depends on how long I’ll be out) at -10. Gloves depending on what I am doing. I add another coat and combine the balaclava with scarf and hat if it hits -40, which is when spit freezes before hitting the ground. Fun stuff.
It’s the deep south - like winter? Seriously? This place panics if there is even a bit of frost. Of course I have also lived in NW Ontario where we had to use outhouses in -40 to -60 below (F although -40 is about the same in both). Did dog sledding with an outdoor program that winter. Decided I like electricity, running water, central heat, indoor toilets; all things we did not have LOL.
The only time I went outside today, I didn’t even put a shirt on. It was the coolest day since March or so. I think our high might’ve been below 80º! It rained all day, too; it was glorious.
Camping in the mountains (9800’). This means layers and at least 3 different answers to that question, depending on the hour, breeze, and cloud cover. Yesterday, it was everything from a well-ventilated tank top to a light rain jacket over fleece. Colorado is awesome. (And the aspens are gorgeous.)
This is a rather entertaining question and write up today… I was out Grilling on the back patio in a hoodie when the downpour started and facebook ignited with “TAKE COVER NOW” post for tornado warnings. In Idaho. One of my thoughts was “I wish I could tell if my chicken is done without having to walk out into that mess.”
@Kirgen When I lived there they told me I no longer had to worry about thunderstorms, hail storms, tornadoes (I had moved from Oklahoma where I lived about 5 miles south of Moore/Oklahoma City and was there when the first force 5 one wiped 1/3 of that city off its collective slab foundations and brought an airplane wing from 90 miles away - originally it was predicted to hit us and veered at the last minute) and what happened? I was there a week, the sky turned green, the thunder and lightening started, wind picked up and hail pelted down. Instead of blaming @ignorant, my entire department blamed me for bringing it with me.
@Kidsandliz LOL. Every time I go visit cousins in OH, I get blamed for tornadoes, floods, blizzards and plagues. They haven’t tied me to serial killers and bad drugs yet, but it’s been a few years since I visited.
A short-sleeve button-down shirt. And by outside, I presume you mean from the front door to my car and back. We are in the cone of probability for Matthew, just in time for Saturday. It’s still summer until November, except I’m paying lower electric rates now.
A short-sleeved polo shirt, because work. If it was the weekend, totally a t-shirt. Mid-50s is still too warm for a windbreaker, much less long sleeves.
outside? What’s that!?
An oxford style shirt with a collar.
@cengland0 But with short sleeves
@compunaut
Not sleeveless?
It’s still yesterday here.
summer clothes
I mean, I don’t officially know yet, but I wore a zip hoodie yesterday and I imagine today will be similar.
As a side note, if Meh branded zip hoodies were ever made and sold I’d be into that.
@ninjaemilee Do you mean something like this?
@ninjaemilee Yes… ZIP hoodies, I can’t/won’t wear a pullover but I would get a zip hoodie in a heartbeat.

A hoodie that says “Today’s meh is the dumbest thing I’ve seen on here.” It was custom-made. For this deal.
@chr you’ve never grilled or smoked something and wanted a probe that you didn’t have to open the grill or go outside to check? I know I have.
@Dweezle So you’re willing to use a thermometer without a speak dock? I don’t buy that.
It’s still summer in SoCal.
@narfcake sorry about that.
@Ignorant
We know you’re sorry, @goat.
Now apologize.
Who says I am wearing anything?
@TheCO2 I am sure there are people on here who say “isn’t the case without a pic”… label pic: not safe for work.
I’m wearing a Google Fiber T-shirt, to celebrate the occasion of their trucks blocking my driveway earlier this week.
@awk I envy you. They recently announced they’re cancelling plans for Fiber in Jacksonville, among other places. It would cost too much.
It’s almost 12:30 in the morning. Still 82°. Feels like 86°. So chilly.

A light grey, short sleeve chambray shirt, and black Dickies shorts. Warming back up here in middle TN.
A button down. Gotta wear that collar to class, yo.
Scrubs. It’s a workday.
Nice outside, though.
RAINjacket, to be specific. October is one of the wet seasons.

@Kirgen Oh they are also talking snow tomorrow for some higher elevations outside of town… there is no “autumn” for this area.

@Kirgen I got an email last week that Steamboat got their first snow of the season…

@OldCatLady
You’re from Florida. Can’t everything be blamed in Florida?

A nice, fuzzy gray blazer that goes well with an oxford shirt and blue jeans
As usual, I am wearing my lithosphere, with a wispy bit of exosphere for that shimmery effect in the sun.
I work at Sealab, so . . .
@driver8
You are just too damned cool.
Post some pix, if you can.
@driver8 You win the entire category. Wow.
No.
@AdmiralDave
No to clothes?
No to outside?
No to both?
